wine dinner number two!

For my second wine dinner, I tried a new variety of wines and foods.

wine pairing one:
For my fist pairing of the dinner, I paired Santa Julia Pinot Grigio with a classic caesar salad.
The wine used in this pairing is a wine wine made from Pinot Grigio. The vintage year of this wine is 2021, it originates from the Mendoza region of Argentina, has an ABV of 13%, and cost around $11. I chose to pair this wine with a caesar salad topped with parmasean and a plant based caesar dressing.
I found this pairing to work very well together. This white wine delivered tropical flavors along with a slightly floral aroma. The fresh finish of the wine paired well with the freshness and creamyness of the salad.

wine pairing two:
For my second wine pairing of the dinner, I paired Basic Riesling with pasta primavera.
The wine used in this pairing is a riesling from Germany with a vintage year of 2018 and an ABV of 11% and cost about $14. The pasta paired with this wine is topped with a mixture of fresh vegetables including red pepper, mushroom, tomatoes, zucchini, garlic, and avocado oil.
I found this pairing to work very well together as well. The freshness and crispness of the wine paired well with the fresh vegetables used in the pasta. The avocado oil and garlic flavors of the pasta brought out the crisp flavor of the wine as well.

wine pairing three:
For my final paring of the night, it was time for dessert. I paired a Electra Moscato with a slice of peach pie.
The wine used in this pairing was an Electra Moscato Port wine coming from California. This wine has a vintage year of 2020, a low ABV percentage coming in at 4.5%, and costs about $16. I paired this wine with a warm classic peach pie.
I was a little unsure about how I felt about this pairing, which I think is mostly because I did not really enjoy this wine. As someone who loves sweet wine, this one was too sweet for me. However, besides that, I do think that it was a good pairing with the peach pie. The pie normally would have been very sweet as well, but the sweetness from the wine was stronger and actually made the pie seem a little less sweet.
