Tasting - Little Bosco
For my first wine tasting, I decided on a sweet red wine with the name of Little Bosco Malvasia Di Castelnuovo Don Bosco. This is a blended red wine coming from Comune in Calamandrana, Italy in Europe. The Vintage year of this wine is 2020. This bottle cost twelve dollars.
While there are little online reviews for this wine, Little Bosco has been desribed on cellar tracker as being "Has some whitish red foam too. Nose almost like grapetizier, dark red berries and a little sweet. Seems like a soda or a cider. Lots of raspberries, slightly floral. Sweet attack and some tartiness in the finish. Light bodied and shortish finish. Very pleasant and easy going, almost like fruit juice."

Little Bosco is a full bodied wine (Wine Folly 14). It is also very sweet, making it a higher calorie wine (Wine Folly 15). I did not get much of the bitter Tannin taste while trying this wine (Wine Folly 17). I do think that this wine was pretty acidic compared to most red wines (Wine Folly 21). In addition, with only being 6% ABV, this wine had a low alcohol content (Wine Folly 22).
I found this wine to be very flavorful and delicious. As mentioned, the wine had a very fruity taste and smell, with strong flavors of grape as well as raspberry. In addition, I found the slight carbonation of the wine to be very nice and enjoyable. This was a very sweet, fruity, and delicious wine. I did not try this wine with food, but I imagine there are some very good food combinations with the wine. I can see it pairing well with dark chocolate.
